I began painting horses thirtyish years ago. Then about a year ago I took an interest in dolls. Art dolls expecially. I also have been sewing historical clothing for fifteen years. So I decided to combine my love of art with my love of sewing and started to create works of art in dolls.
I recently started a line of PUDZ (Pushing Up Daizies), my creepy, strange but lovelable cloth dolls.
However, I also make reproduction 19th century "china" dolls as well as handsculpting dolls. Recently I discovered the wonders of Sculpey clay, and I much rather bake clay than bake cookies.
I am happily married to my hubby of 13 years who puts up with my ever growing obsession in creating dolls. We have a beautiful 12 year old special needs daughter, and being able to work from my home studio allows me to be with her more.
