Traveling Doll Project

For the third annual Traveling Doll Project (TDP), 28 ADO members signed up to participate in 2011. Assigned to teams of three to six, each artist started a doll, then passed it on to team members. Artists embellished, dressed, fussed, created, and eventually gave the dolls new life and personality. A journal accompanied each doll, in which notes, photos, and traveling experiences were recorded. As of July, some dolls have returned to their original homes, but the project is still going as other dolls continue to wind their ways around the world.
